Fugro operates at the nexus of the world’s climate and nature challenges by delivering actionable insights that protect ocean health, strengthen coastal resilience, and ensure inland water safety. Fugro does this through projects like mapping seagrass meadows to restore marine ecosystems, using hydrospatial data to support the development of flood defences in vulnerable coastal zones, and monitoring sediment transport to manage river deltas. Fugro’s work helps governments and industries make informed decisions, whether it’s safeguarding water quality, planning resilient infrastructure, or restoring natural habitats. By combining advanced surveying technologies with environmental expertise, Fugro turns Geo-data into solutions that serve both people and the planet.
Fugro aims to contribute to EcoShape’s mission by demonstrating the actual impact of Nature-based Solutions for climate resilience, nature and biodiversity using their advanced technologies. They do this at scale, globally and with the EcoShape partners, contributing to greater understanding and acceptance of Nature-based Solutions.
