Stockholm World Water Week 2025 is almost here!

From 24-28 August, the global water community will gather in Stockholm to exchange knowledge and spark collaboration under this year’s theme: Water for Climate Action.

We’re proud to announce that on Tuesday the 26th, EcoShape and Rode Kruis Nederland will host a session at the Netherlands Booth, organized by Partners for Water:

  • Creating the Enabling Environment for Nature-Based Solutions, as Nature protects and Nature provides, 14:00-14:30 CEST. This session will explore how EcoShape’s six enablers – technology & system knowledge, multi-stakeholder approach, adaptive management, maintenance & monitoring, institutional embedding, business case, and capacity building – provide the essential framework for designing, implementing, and scaling Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) through the Building with Nature approach, ultimately creating the enabling environment for NBS. At the same time, we explore with Red Cross NL how this resonates in the social domain and how we can find solutions that not only protect local communities but really make a difference for their livelihoods.

Later in the day, our partners at Haskoning will continue the dialogue with their session:

  • Taking the Positive Approach on Nature-Based Solutions, 16:00-16:30 CEST. This session will explore how a positive framing of Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) – focusing on opportunities, benefits, and long-term value – can strengthen collaboration, inspire action, and accelerate implementation. By shifting the narrative from challenges to possibilities, we highlight how NBS contribute to climate resilience, biodiversity, and sustainable development.

Both sessions will be held at the Netherlands Booth, a space to exchange ideas, share expertise, and build collaborations for a climate-resilient future.
